Super Bowl Brings Big Business to Scottsdale: ’10 Times More Than Five Years Ago’
SCOTTSDALE, Arizona – economy Super Bowl they are big for the host city, but the party scene could be even bigger.
Small businesses in the Phoenix area that plan and participate in the festivities provide insight into how they prepare.
Scottsdale in the spring it’s already a big party. This year, however, small businesses say they are hiring more and booking quickly.
Every year the golf scene brings big tourist deals, but this year? Watch out, Scottsdale.
“The party in Scottsdale is probably 10 times bigger than it was five years ago,” says Meghan Alfonso s A girl about town.
The business prepares a rental house for guests, such as hen and stag parties.
“Anything a traveler needs to come to Scottsdale, we’ll take care of it for you,” says Alfonso.
From champagne to food.
“You send us anything you want and we’ll pick it up and deliver it to your house, so you don’t have to worry about going anywhere,” explained Alfonso.
Combine the WM Phoenix Open and Super Bowl LVII, and she says this year is already approaching last year’s bookings and still has weeks to go.
“I’ve already hired 10 new people. They’re being trained and will need to know everything about how we run the company. Basically full-time staff for that whole week,” Alfonso said.
It’s a big job – for a party job.
Robert Mayer with Arizona Party Bike he took us along for the ride, pedaling through old town Scottsdale. They already have reservations for Super Bowl week and he says you’ll need reservations.
“The last Super Bowl, you could ride a party bike in Scottsdale. Not only could you not drink, but we only had 2 bikes. Now we have 20. So you’re not limited to a group of 14 people if If you have a corporate group, you can host a group of over 200 people,” Mayer said.
Just let them know they’ll have to pedal.
For those looking for a more relaxed atmosphere, they can always hang out by the pool.
