Altrincham 3-2 Maidenhead United – BBC Sport

Chris Conn-Clarke scored a superb double from a free-kick as Altrincham came from behind to beat Maidenhead United in the National League.

The midfielder struck at either end of the half and also assisted Marcus Dinanga to ease his side to within two points of a play-off spot and extend their unbeaten run in all competitions to 10 games.

In the 17th minute, Reece Smith put the guests in the lead from the edge of the penalty area, but his goal simply served to push the home team.

They leveled within six minutes when Conn-Clarke curled a free-kick into the top corner and Altrincham took the lead 14 minutes before the break when the midfielder turned provider for Dinanga only for Shawn McCoulsky to restore parity in first-half stoppage time.

But Conn-Clarke did it again in the 63rd minute when he scored from another penalty to restore the home team’s advantage and ultimately secure the points.
