The Boston Celtics were in control for much of the first half of the 2022-23 NBA season. For most of the season, they occupy the first place in the Eastern Conference, and with the last victory over the Brooklyn Nets, they further solidified themselves as the best team in the league. Their record now stands at 31-12, making them the best team in the NBA and putting them three games ahead of the Nets for the top seed in the East.
Barkley did not support Brown’s recent fashion choices
It wasn’t an easy sled for the C’s all season, as they dealt with a sudden coaching opportunity when Ime Udoka was suspended by the team for the entire season and were forced to be without star Robert Williams III for the first two months of the season after he suffered a late offseason injury. surgery on the knee that is bothering him. But that hasn’t stopped Boston from dominating nearly every team it has faced so far this season.
The Celtics may have encountered another setback on the road, as Jaylen Brown was forced to miss Boston’s win over Brooklyn with an adductor strain. Brown’s absence shouldn’t be long, but Boston will miss him while he’s on the sidelines. Brown was still with the team Thursday night after being subbed out 90 minutes before tipoff, wearing an interesting light blue sweater that got him grilled by Charles Barkley and the rest of the Inside the NBA crew after the game.

Barkley could try to find Brown a new stylist
Not much went wrong for the Celtics after taking the court after an interesting offseason. But according to Barkley and Shaquille O’Neal, who agreed with Barkley, Brown’s choice of sweater for this non-playing game was a glaring mistake. It was certainly an exciting wardrobe choice from Brown, but it’s not the funniest thing we’ve seen an NBA player wear this season.
NBA players always love to make fashion statements, whether they’re on the sidelines watching games courtside or when they enter the stadium. But according to Barkley, Brown’s choice of sweater was clearly a misstep. Assuming Brown can get back on the court sooner rather than later, this may not be a huge issue going forward, but if he continues to miss time, he may want to think twice before choosing what to wear, as he could end up getting another fry up.
