Best red carpet fashion at the 2023 Golden Globe Awards
Check out some of the most memorable looks from LA’s Beverly Hilton, where the stars gathered to mark the 80th edition of the awards.
The ceremony serves as a harbinger not only of who will win the Oscars in March, but also of the fashion trends we can expect during awards season.
A host of attendees arrived in gothic-inspired black attire, from Selena Gomez’s dramatic Valentino gown to the lace cape Jamie Lee Curtis wore over her strapless jumpsuit (also by the Italian brand). Although she skipped the official red carpet, Rihanna was present in a bespoke black velvet Schiaparelli gown. Liza Koshy and actress Paige Butcher were among the other stars who opted for dark lace ensembles.

But there was also colorfulness – as well as an abundance of frills and glittering sequins. Laverne Cox wowed in a vintage John Galliano gown, and Julia Garner was one of several stars to wear powder pink as she arrived in a three-tiered Gucci gown. With organizers rolling out a gray carpet this year, Lily James and “Top Gun: Maverick” actress Monica Barbaro both took the opportunity to wear striking red dresses.
Many of the men of the evening broke with black tie tradition in bright and ornate outfits, from a giant silk flower attached to Eddie Redmaye’s tuxedo to a powder blue Louis Vuitton suit worn by “The Banshees of Inisherin” star Barry Keoghan. Elsewhere, Reece Feldman opted for a pleated skirt, while TikTok star Josh Richards wore a cropped T-shirt under his striped suit.
