Southend United 3-0 Solihull Moors

Southend got back to winning ways after they beat Solihull Moors in their Vanarama National League game at Roots Hall.

The Shrimpers, who haven’t won in the league since November, dominated the first half and took the lead in the 19th minute through Jason Demetriou’s header.

Southend stayed on top after the restart and doubled their lead in the 55th minute after Harry Cardwell’s brilliant finish.

Midfielder Jack Bridge wrapped up the points on the hour mark with a fine individual effort as Southend cemented their place in the play-offs.
